The Baby, Kerr, Kid, Lost, Man & McKeown Lakes Association (Lake Association) is a member-based association. This privacy notice describes the Lake Association’s policies and practices regarding its collection and use of your personal information, and sets forth privacy rights. The Lake Association values the privacy of our members and visitors. We do not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive information from minors. We recognize that information privacy is an ongoing responsibility that we will regularly look at and update to remain current.

It is the Lake Association’s policy to collect and store personal information about our members and customers. This includes the kind of information that can be found publicly, such as basic information from the Cass County Property database and maps, including but not limited to name, lake address, mailing address, PID, lake number.  Additionally, we may collect information you voluntarily submit to us, such as an email address, home phone number, mobile phone number, mailing address.  We use this information to provide our members with goods and services such as membership services, educational information, lake data and the environmental information, and other such information.  We do not sell personal information and only share it with third parties who are facilitating the delivery of the Lake Association business, such as but not limited to our printer, mailing house services, and our virtual events platform. Users can always refuse to supply personally identifiable information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain member related activities. 

Non-personally identifiable information 

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site or event platform. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

Our Site may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. We may use the email address to send User information and updates pertaining to their membership or Lake Association business. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include organization news, updates, or related information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, they may do so by contacting us.

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.
